The Department prepares students for careers in research, teaching, and community service by challenging them to develop an understanding of epidemiologic methods and the ability to apply learned skills to a wide range of health problems.

Working with centers and other departments in the Fielding School and beyond, Epidemiology provides multidisciplinary education and training programs to develop health professionals more broadly qualified to address public health concerns in the community and abroad.

Any posted deadlines reflect a partial list of revelant dates for students which are subject to change. Students should always consult the Registrar, Graduate Division, Dashew Center, and other official resources for current and complete timelines.

All paper forms and petitions must be submitted directly to the Deparment of Epidemiology. To allow time for necessary approvals, students are advised to follow the Department's published deadlines for submitting documents when these dates differ from those publised by the Registrar or Graduate Division.
